Doni first discovered Tango in his home country of Venezuela at the age of 15. He studied with Miriam Grey from Uruguay, while also developing his technique in ballet, modern, folk and Latin dance.

In a parallel world back in London, Liz was heavily involved in Salsa and Latin Ballroom. After 16 years of dancing ballet and modern, finding a love for partner dance - especially social dance styles such as Salsa lead her down a new path in her career.

In 2002, Doni and Liz met on a cruise ship where Liz was the production manager and dance captain. They bonded immediately over their love of Salsa and Doni introduced Liz to Argentine Tango. The chemistry was so strong that they were engaged 3 months later!

Their next step was to live in Paris for a year and dance at the world famous Moulin Rouge. Here, they shared their passion for Tango with their fellow dancers - instructing 'Tango for Dancers' classes for the other cast members and going to Milongas in the 'City of Light' whenever possible.

To develop their technique, Doni and Liz went to Buenos Aires and took classes at the Escuela Argentina de Tango (School of Tango in Argentina). Until recently, they have been working on 6* cruise ships as a Latin/Tango dance team. They were invited to perform and teach on ships that sailed from Argentina and Uruguay as resident Argentine Tango professionals.
